Ledaig (Tobermory) 12 Year Old Rare Find 56.5% 70cl Ledaig is the name given for heavily peated single malts made at Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. And this gorgeously robust expression, from independent bottler Rare Find, ticks all the boxes that you’d expect from a smoky, refill American oak-matured single malt. It offers all manner of maritime flavours, along with herbal pine needles and a touch of orange peels. A must-try if you love peated single malt Scotch whiskies. Official tasting notes: Nose: Waves of peat, pine needles and a touch of aniseed. Palate: On the palate, barbeque smoke is balanced with orange peel, a little menthol and strawberries. Finish: The finish is a nice mix of peat smoke and spice.
