Talisker 25 Year Old (Old Packaging) 45.8% An elegant, opulent expression from the celebrated Skye distillery, which sees refreshing citrus and honey sweetness paired with Talisker's signature coastal salinity. Aged for over a quarter of a century, this is a remarkably balanced, much-loved malt. Nose: Delicate and rich at the same time, some rich light citrus, charred woody notes, some vegetable notes with cucumber peel, salted caramel and soft whipped fudge, nutmeg and soft pine corn aromas. Taste: Some tangy fruits come into to play alongside rich toasted oak spice, candied orange and light lemon creamy notes, heather and honey adding a richness to the mid palate ahead of some amazing soft earthy wood notes, charred pineapple, some peat and rich coastal flavours, a nice rich and complex dram to the finish.
