Macallan Distil Your World Hong Kong 46.8% 70cl Single Malt Whisky Developed by The Macallan lead whisky-maker Euan Kennedy, alongside the Roca Brothers from iconic restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, this vibrant, rich single malt from the iconic Speyside distillery is said to capture the “energy and complexity” of Hong Kong. It’s been drawn from an assortment of sherry seasoned European oak hogsheads, ex-bourbon casks, and sherry seasoned American oak. The result? A multifaceted, complex, and powerfully expressive single malt. Official tasting notes: Nose: Rich, resinous and sweet. Aromas of decadent ginger and spices, balanced by vibrant tropical characteristics like pomelo and mango. Subtle suggestions of Hong Kong style egg tart, fragrant honey, and incredible antique oak. Palate: Viscous and mouth coating at first, bright tropical sweetness is followed by beautiful ginger and rounded spices providing great structure. Gentle waves of aged oak, grapefruit and an umami like depth. Finish: Vibrant antique oak continues to shine.
