A breath of fresh, malty air for the new year. A young, vibrant, malty, cereal-rich and natural 2017 Deanston. Loads of classical distillery and raw ingreident characteristics, with plenty balancing citurs fruits and light waxy notes. Bottled from a single first fill barrel at an enjoyable and robust 53%.

This young and naked Deanston has the aroma boosters at full throttle and is very convincing at that. Thanks for the dram at Rotterdam Whiskybase shop! Had a nice chat with the guy there and also bought something:)

Нос	88	Intensely grassy and honeyed nose. A dash of fresh lemon zest added, this is pure spring malt! Very refreshing. Feels like a crystal clear whisky source up in the mountains. ;)
Вкус	88	Fresh and zesty it remains - and here comes the malt: loads of beer aromas on the palate: Belgian triple, IPA and the like. Thick and mouthcoating, really delicious.
Финиш	87	Still intense and lemony long for only 8 years of maturation, but astonishingly, there is no harsh nip, everything stays in balance.

Young, but very beautiful whisky with pure bourbon maturation. The aroma is delicate, reminiscent of vanilla yolk cream. It doesn't kick your nose at all. The percentages are already apparent on the tongue. But for its age it has a quite refined expression.
