Glen Grant 1952 GM

This is an ancient and supremely dignified Glen Grant from Elgin’s finest Independent Bottlers, Gordon & Macphail. It is exceptionally rare to experience a Platinum Jubilee and similarly unusual to find a whisky with seven decades of maturation under its belt. This reminds me of a country kitchen spice cupboard; an oaken structure containing innumerable hand-labelled spice pots having been filled and refilled over the years. Spending time gently breathing it in gives the most nourishing rewards.
