This is a superior after-dinner dram. It is immediately generous with honey and golden syrup. Candied orange and glacé cherry soon emerge. Rich and gloriously textured, it has a viscosity that coats the tongue and notes of dried apricot and hints of ginger. It is opulent and moreish. I couldn’t think of anything I’d rather be doing than sipping this whisky alongside a nice piece of Stilton or some dark chocolate.Eddie Garner, Account Manager (Spirits), Berry Bros. & Rudd
