Ardbeg Traigh Bhan

This has beautiful dark and maple tones to it in the glass. The nose leads with slightly less medicinal notes than previous batches, and more of a roasted nuttiness, though still with that telltale eucalyptus freshness. Mouth coating and bold, with campfire ash and walnuts and pecans roasted in golden syrup. The palate shows a hint of sweetness, which provides a wonderfully rich mouthfeel. I like that both the Bourbon and Oloroso casks in which it was aged can be tasted, but under the constant presence of those roasted coal flavours that set Islay apart.Eddie Garner, Account Manager, Berry Bros. & Rudd (September 2025)
