A collaboration several years in the making, this remarkable bottle stands as testament to the shared values of Macallan and Bentley Motors, both assured leaders in their respective fields. Kirsteen Campbell, Master Whisky Maker at The Macallan has drawn from six first-fill sherry barrels to create a whisky with intensity and effortless style. Dried fruits and resinous wood show themselves as the nose first purrs into life, with dark spice appearing with some time. The palate seamlessly flows from black cherries to treacle toffee to richly moist fruitcake, each flavour as seamless as a perfectly timed series of gear-changes. Reassuringly the finish is pitch-perfect and lingers as timelessly as the exhaust note of an immaculate V8 receding into the distance over rolling Scottish hills.
