По текстам видно несколько повторяющихся тем. Во-первых, молодость прямо называется почти везде: один из отзывов пишет, что шерри и дерево «наложены, негармоничны», ещё один отзыв — «молодой шерри-торфяной виски, для первого выпуска ок», другой отзыв — «молодой, совсем без тела, водянистый», один из отзывов — «трёхлетняя выдержка не сбрасывается со счетов», ещё один отзыв — «просто молодой и незрелый». As with Batch 1 too much water resp. too little abv. In my opinion, a young whisky does not tolerate that very well. The sherry (and the wood) seems superimposed, inharmonious.

Surprisingly little peat on the nose. The grassy - and then peaty - taste is a little reminiscent of Kilchoman.

Like Batch 1, the alcohol integration and lack of youthful off-notes are well-managed for a 3-year-old spirit at 50% ABV. The 6-month Oloroso sherry firkin finish adds much-needed layers of dried cranberries, plums, and orange, providing a better structure and balance than the first batch. Although a raw, dry woodiness persists from nose to finish, it is relatively well-masked by the progression of dark chocolate, refined salt, and clean peat.

Clearly the same basic note as Batch 1 (herbs), the PPM is not in the foreground here, but rather combines quite elegantly with the sherry finish. Herbal sherry with a slight hint of smoke. The finish gets better with each sip. A pleasant smoke (slightly sweet) remains. 71-80 – Fine, like to drink by time

S 7 More rounded than the other Inaugural Releases due to active Sherry casks, it helped masked out the undermatured notes of the young distillate. Does it taste good? Yea, it's decent. However such practice did make me wonder where's the line between good whisky, and mediocre whisky that's made decent with strong casks. 81-85 - Another dram welcomed

Blenders glass. 1111'84 For a 3 year old, it's fantastic. It remains to wait for 10-12 year releases. For some reason, I'm sure that there will be worthy releases, I hope at an affordable price. Well, it’s a pity that we didn’t buy a barrel while there was an offer.

This batch is rather well balanced between the power of the earthy peat and the fruity and spicy compositions of its flavors including morello cherries and a bit of chocolate. The finish gets a little carried away with a hint of slightly overloaded white pepper. A whisky strangely resembling some Swiss biscuits, both spicy and sweet.
Young, smoky, very intense. I didn't like it at all from the start, but gradually I got used to it quite a bit. Horsetail, fern.
I bought this at the distillery and it was quite expensive. But I have enjoyed it as a heavily peated whisky at 50%. I have tried other heavily peated sherry bombs that have been much better but these were well established distilleries. This is basically Arran so they are not a novice and I expect better things in the future. Will I be purchasing their future bottlings? Not looking at the prices of these infant bottlings

| Нос | 85 | The peat dominates straight away with the sherry notes very much in the background. It's heavily peated so what do you expect and the Oloroso is as it should be. The peat is soaked In brine and maritime, almost like a Caol Ila. Looking at the colour of this it is quite dark as in a bomb but the peat is nuclear. |

The peat side of it I really like and the sherry side is fighting it's cause. It's like Rocky and Creed in the first film. If you like peated whisky you will enjoy it, if you like a sherry bomb you won't. If you are looking for something slap bang in the middle you will be a little disappointed. Strong peat with sherry very much in the background then you are happy. |

Thanks to karloff for the sample. Not sure why I passed this at The Gathering in -22 as they had their own stand pushing this in what must have been a marketing stunt,as the cheapest dram available there, asking 1 WB coin.

| Вкус | 86 | Peat continues to be dominating. The sherry doesn't really make a mark untill midway, then it comes along with a variety of other flavours like chocolate, coffee and leather. Interesting development, but in a way what I call a bit out of balance. Don't add water, it drowns easily and gets thin. |
| Финиш | 85 | Quite long. Sweet, and in a strange way the fruity flavours breaks through even though the peat never really recedes. A careful small amount of water may be it if you want that sherry to shine in the finish. |

The Oloroso finish succeeds better here than the red wine barrels in Batch 3 in cloaking the youthfulness with fruity notes. However, the only three-year maturity cannot be dismissed out of hand.

Young whisky clearly benefits when smoke is involved. The low level of maturity and other flaws are more or less covered up. In this case, sherry is added, which at least does not draw a curtain in front of the actual distillate, but rather gently expands the range of aromas. The aroma is subdued and more earthy. The peat is covered under a layer of dirt. Except for adding a nice golden hue to the whisky, all this expression does is smother the great, raw spirit of Lagg. On the taste it regains some charm with hints of charcoal, raw steak, lots of bitter wood and, in the end, a glowing finish leaving you dreamy. Still, despite these redeeming qualities, this second batch feels a bit pressure cooked.

In the aroma, sherry meets youth. Youth tries to show itself and sherry tries to mask it. And it masks it quite successfully, as it takes over as it breathes a little. Heavier ripe fruit, sherry, ashy smoke in the background, saltiness. But that youth doesn't give up and keeps making itself known. In the taste, noticeable youth flavored with smoke and ash, and with that, sherry, peppery pungency, then a mixture of sweetness of fruit and citrus and noticeable youthful immaturity. In the finish, forest fruit, wood and a bit of its bitterness, a bit of dryness, sherry and a bit of dark chocolate. The Oloroso finish helped a lot and thanks to the nice new-poppy, the youth doesn't bother me that much, but it's simply young and immature.
