What a privilege to have a dram of this beauty at quite possibly the best Bowmore tasting & dinner in our wonderful Townhouse I’ll attend, for a while at least.Hosted by the inestimable David Miles in our fabulous Townhouse, a lucky few guests enjoyed this alongside the 22yo 30yo and the 52yo ARC.I thought the 30yo was good, this turns up the dial to 11, butterscotch and wet rope more prevalent on the nose but a deep intensity of fig and dense forest fruit, with the reassuring backdrop of the salty wet rope and ingrained peat that typifies the very best, well-aged Bowmore.Sam Phillips, Commercial Spirits Manager, Berry Bros. & Rudd (October 2023)
