Нос	88	Clearly recognizable Bowmore distillate. Salty, sweet, slightly smoky. Salty butter. wet earth. Sour milk. Menthol. Chocolate.
Вкус	90	The Bowmore distillate is also recognizable here. Mineral, salt, a little bit of smoke in the background. The whisky feels warm and full. It gets thicker and thicker. Even at the finish, the volume increases. Chocolate cake.
Финиш	90	LONG. Mineral, earthy, smoke. Wood scrapings. smoldering barbecue. Curry sauce.

A well put together dram with plenty to like - the alcohol gives it a bit of heft, without being overpowering, whilst the dram retains some interest throughout. Well worth trying - a little expensive in terms of buying a bottle.

Нос	84	Chocolate limes - the alcohol sits well in the glass. I get little smoke or saline notes, but a waft of the old fashioned hard boiled chocolate lime sweets.
Вкус	86	The mouthfeel is good with a bit of body too it - the taste comes through immediately with a delicate smoke in the background, a chocolate note that borders on an oyster stout or decent coffee, and a citrus note that is quite vibrant. A decent taste overall.
Финиш	85	Medium - the stout note lingers a while with a pleasant hit of alcohol, which seems well intergrated.

There are already enough descriptions of flavors here, so I will concentrate on comparisons. Compared to the cheaper 26yo & 27yo Vintner's as well as the 23yo PX or Springtide, I can perceive a greater complexity of different aromas here. The bourbon casks that are missing from the aforementioned bottlings also seem to predominate here. A range of contrasting aromas make this bottling extremely exciting. The 51.5% is an ideal strength, as the malt is rich and intense, but remains accessible and does not overwhelm me as the first dram of the evening.

Sampled in a Bowmore tasting. WB209065, WB243244, WB55398, WB189257, WB191074, WB27248, WB221829. S 6.5 This is as the maximum amount of soap I can take in my Bowmore. I enjoy nosing it the most as the soap takes a back seat to allow the peat and cask to speak, but it almost completely takes over the front stage once it reaches the palate. 86-90 - Great! Worth buying and sharing

Нос	88	The coastal breezes bring along a basket of ripe salted red fruits and smoked peach tea. Burning earthy peat seasoning the barrel, releasing more aromatic smoke. Sour cherry. Mildly leathery and just a whiff of menthol. A soft touch of violet perfume lurks in the background, reminding us that this is a Bowmore from the bygone era. Mildly pungent but not obtrusive.
Вкус	85	The violet intensifies, taking over the fruits and now on par with the earthy bonfire. Leather. Dark chocolate with dried berries chunks. Some sweet vanilla and mildly peppery oak. I want to say there’s more to offer but the soap is quite distracting.
Финиш	85	Long finish. Lingering soapy peat. Burnt tobacco leaves. Sufficient oak tannin and dark plums.

Nose: Present but restrained nose, softly embedded peat smoke, coal, elegant, subtly salty and bacony, slightly soapy and floral, chocolate, coffee, hints of sweet black tea, tobacco, currants, cinnamon and lovage. Taste: rich with pleasant basic sweetness, alcohol not noticeable; smoke present but not too intense, warm smoke, tobacco, red fruits and Cinnamon. Nice depth in the finish, light chili catch with salt. Soft, aromatic finish - medium to (too) short. Wood and mild smoky notes I leave the price out of the rating, then it is a very good whisky. If I take the price into account, it would certainly only be 85-86 points.

Нос	90	Light smoke with sea breeze. Clove and violet florals, eucalyptus, honey and peach. Bonfire notes and a touch of tobacco develop with air.
Вкус	90	Smoke and ash lead, followed by a clove-and-violet note with a slight soapy edge. Berry syrup, dark chocolate, coffee and warming spice come through.
Финиш	89	Long. Sweet peat carries on, then shifts to spent embers and the bitterness of dark chocolate. A slightly drying edge with white pepper, oak and tobacco.

Phenomenal. Just slightly behind the 21 edition 1 (I gave edition one at 94 overall), but otherwise, it has its own personality, and a wonderful complex dram which every whisky lover should experience.

A very good combination of bourbon and sherry, with bourbon as the main flavor, very comfortable, milky and thick. There is a noticeable change in the bottle, the soapy taste will appear and become stronger, and it is best to drink it right after opening the bottle.

An autumn forest full of fallen leaves, somewhere not far away, a fire is burning down from this withered, dried, but sometimes damp foliage. Sea notes, iodine, smoke. Reminds me of the beginning of Brodsky's poem: "Honey, I went out tonight to breathe in the fresh air blowing from the ocean"; and its end: "I smoke in the dark and inhale the rot of the tide."

Нос	92	Like with the 2021 edition I can only receive a gentle hint of smoke. I get a lot of fruit and fewer caramel aromas: ripe blood oranges mixed with mango and passion fruit. A good amount of (sea) saltiness which I like. Biscuit aromas are there. Sherry only in the background. The nose is different to that of the 2021 but I’m equally impressed by the depth and complexity. In some Bowmores the orange aromas tend to be overwheming, but this one is wonderfully balanced. Great! Adding some water brings out brighter fruit aromas (pear).
Вкус	92	As with the 2021 there are more smoky flavours than on the nose. However the fruity aromas, especially the exotic fruits, return big on the palate. Much more than in the standard 18-year-old, ripe mango / passion fruit flavours complement the typical Bowmore character. Wood is not overwhelming, rather pleasant. And a large emphasis on salty sweetness. Great composition! Not too aggressive, with a broad profile. Very enjoyable!
Финиш	91	Sea saltiness and oak flavours stay for a long time. After a while a gentle smokiness lingers on.
