Лёгкий солодовый эль на бывшем бурбоне — ванильно-фруктовый, пряный, с молодой сухостью и заметной горчинкой; крепкий середняк, за свою цену честный, но недорогой и невыразительный.

В аромате преобладают мягкая сладость, ваниль и карамель, зерновые и солодовые тона (каша, солодовое молоко), яблоко, груша и цитрусовая корка, немного пряностей и белого перца; часть авторов отмечает лёгкий воск, марципан, сено и древесные стружки, а также сыроватую, чуть спиртуозную молодость. Во вкусе — фруктовое начало, ванильно-медовая сладость и отчётливый перечный, пряный удар, который быстро оседает до медовой воды; тело шелковистое, но не маслянистое, с ощутимой сухостью в середине, требующей осторожного разбавления. Послевкусие среднее или короткое, суховатое, с перцем, дубовыми пряностями, какао и возвращением к зерновой основе, нередко с вяжущей горчинкой.
Хвалят за питкость, приятную лёгкость и разнообразие при молодом возрасте и невысокой крепости, а также за неожиданно плотный вкус и адекватную цену для редкой винокурни (сравнивают с Dalwhinnie). Критикуют слабость и незрелость, плохо интегрированный спирт, искусственно-парфюмерные цитрусовые ноты, горечь и «бочковой» характер без выразительного дистиллята — один опытный автор считает это скорее купажным солодом для коллекционеров, чем для питья, и оценил бы вслепую дешевле. Опытные ревьюеры расходятся сильнее всего: от похвалы весомому телу и роли возраста и крепости до упрёков в водянистости и завышенной цене; остальные держатся ровнее и мягче. В целом оценки согласованы и тесно сгруппированы вокруг среднего балла (в основном 78–85), без резких выбросов.
Better then expected, pretty light and polished whisky, I guess wide market can enjoy it neat Better when small sips are taken, will look for this one at auctions, it definitely worth 30 euros this is going for in there NOTE: Not sure which batch I am drinking

has a sauté note for me - could be a very dry sherry keg I find him a bit weak and immature for his price - blindly I would classify him in the 30 € class.

S 6 For collectors, not drinkers. A typical blending malt with limited memorable distillate character. Water slightly improves the balance but overall it's still cask-driven and spirit. 71-80 - Drinkable, worth the experience at least

COLOR: Gold - a really good 12 year old standard malt - tasty, pleasant, not too complex and yet interesting - comparable in league with Dalwhinnie 15 J. - due to the rarity of this distillery, at around 50€ it is not that expensive for a 12 year old single malt

He is out of round and the alcohol is not very well integrated; first watery then oily. You will not get the fresh citrus flavors here but rather the artificial or perfumed version. The bitterness also works - 15.12.2017
Although the palate reveals it's youth, this is a solid dram. It's creamy, a little fruity and in the finish also spicy. A nice combination of youth and wood.
A good solid dry malt.

Nose: Sweet sour, grassy, marzipan. Hay and wood shavings. Feels a bit young on the nose. Taste: Sweet, again marzipan. Wood sap. Youngish. Not very active casks. Body: Silky, but not really oily Finish: Medium. Again the wood sap. Some raw wood as well. A bit sweet and again a hint of marzipan. Price: Don't pay more then €50,-. Everything else is speculation. Presentation Sober and decent as all F&F

Sweet and estery on the nose. Round, warm and spicy on the palate. Spicy, medium on the finish. Not bad with some fenegriek cheese.
https://whiskylovingpianist.wordpress.com/2020/05/25/on-location-dalwhinnie/ N: I’m nosing a weighty whisky, one with an oily maltiness, vanillas, cereals [grassy, dried, wheatsheaf cereals], porridge paste, some putty, Caramac… more vanilla now with a herbal/floral touch,.. ozone-vanillin. Happy, let’s move on. T: This aged barley spirit with some weight, develops gracefully. Admittedly. it’s a little dry in the middle but more buttery [mouthfeel] into the finish. It requires careful water management. F: Overall it’s still humming from that weighty development, with buttery husky=chocolate < cocoa that then goes back to its cereal roots. Finishes a little dry with more ex-bourbon oak-driven vanilla. C: A good whisky that seems to demonstrates that age and a higher abv does matter!
Very good for this series, a pleasant, light and varied aroma, the taste / finish is surprisingly dense and saturated for such a young and weak whisky.

This is a nice light, pleasant malt. Not stellar but eminently drinkable.
